Practice the decisions that connect a deal.
- Test valuation and add-backs against the evidence supplied.
- Model debt service, DSCR and downside sensitivities with deterministic calculations.
- Reason through diligence, seller financing and deal structure.
- Review curriculum-grounded sources alongside an answer.
- Practice with fictional Deal Lab cases, carry a short deal context across turns, and defend an acquisition thesis in IC Challenge.
The AI helps you examine evidence and assumptions. You retain responsibility for decisions; an answer does not establish lender approval or replace transaction-specific professional advice.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
You absolutely can use a general AI assistant. Acquisition Companion is designed for buyers who don’t want to build their own M&A prompts, models and learning framework from scratch.
| Build your own workflow | Acquisition Companion |
|---|---|
| Choose questions, prompts and a learning sequence. | A curriculum and acquisition-specific practice modes. |
| Supply and evaluate the sources you want to use. | Linked curriculum sources with explicit provenance. |
| Design and check the calculation approach. | Deterministic deal calculations with stated inputs and assumptions. |
| Organize valuation, financing, downside, diligence and structure. | A workflow connecting those questions, plus investment-committee practice. |
The distinction is workflow, sources, calculations, curriculum and guardrails. We do not claim a superior underlying AI model or exclusive analytical capabilities.

The course stands on its own.
The free lessons, worked examples and reference libraries are useful without AI or an account. Follow the course, work through the examples, or inspect the methodology. AI Deal Lab is the application layer for practice.
